Sand Springs Wedding

Sand Springs is a city located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It is a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma and is located predominantly in Tulsa County, with some areas of the city situated in Osage County to the North. The population was 17,451 within the city limits at the 2000 census. Included the unincorporated areas the population is approximately 45,000. The city was founded by Oklahoma philanthropist Charles Page. He envisioned Sand springs as a haven for orphans and widows.[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 54.3 km (21.0 mi). 48.4 km (18.7 mi) of it is land and 5.9 km (2.3 mi) of it (10.84%) is water within city limits. When the area within the city's "fence line" is included the total sqaure miles swells to nearly three times the incorporated size.
